Collaboration with Catalonia Employment Bureau

Fundació Inform has undertaken several projects related to the framework programme Compromís de Contractació 2016-2017 and now in 2019 (Employment Commitment) launched by Servei d’Ocupació (Employment Bureau) of Catalonia. At the moment, 388 unemployed people are being delivered Practice Entreprise training methodology in Catalonia.

Fundació Inform has been responsible for opening several Practice Entreprises around Catalonia since 1987 as the pedagogical tool to train unemployed people in business admin tasks so as to get back to the labour market.

The SEFED Project uses the setting up of a simulated company in a classroom as the pedagogigal tool to train unemployed people in business in a practical way (learning by doing), by getting them to run their own company, performing actual business tasks like buying and selling their virtual products all around the world, and getting to know the ins and outs of running a small business.

  • This SEFED company works like a real company: it buys and sells its products, has business relationships with other simulated companies around the world, accounts for operations, controls treasury, pays taxes, manages human resources and the marketing department, etc.
  • Active methodology and with a clearly professionalizing component. It promotes training through experience: “learning by doing, learning by working”.
  • Students are integrated in a context in which the work environment is lived, and the conditions of a working relationship are given that facilitate the learning and training of the usual situations, tasks and processes in real life. The aim is to achieve the skills of each of the jobs.
  • We train people according to the needs of the labor market and companies.
